Quota
In a Quota game (also called a dogfight or Chicago), every player has a target: the quota base, usually 36, minus their Playing Handicap. They score points on every hole (more for a birdie, fewer for a bogey) and finish plus or minus their quota. The highest plus wins, so a high handicapper and a scratch player compete on equal terms.
Before you start:
- Players need a Handicap Index, so the round has their Playing Handicaps (Add your members).
- You know how to add a tournament to a round (Add rounds and tournaments).
-
Make a Quota template in your Tournament Bank: add a template and, on the Format step, choose Quota. Quota is always scored gross: the handicap is used for the target, not on each hole.

-
Add the template to the round, as with any tournament.
-
Open the tournament from the round’s Tournaments tab. Under Quota Settings, set the Quota base and the points for each score. Leave a box blank to use the usual value: 36, and 16 / 8 / 4 / 2 / 1 / 0 from albatross down to double bogey. Some leagues use 39 (“Chicago”). Select Save Changes.

-
Pair the round and play it as usual. The round’s Leaderboard tab ranks players by +/- Quota: their points minus their target.
